Commonly known as Snake Plant, Mother-in-Law's Tongue, Viper’s bowstring hemp, or Devil’s Tongue. This plant is low-maintenance, drought-tolerant, and known for it's air-purifying abilities. Are you a new plant owner or someone simply looking for an easy-care houseplant? A Sansevieria is the plant for you.
Light: Bright indirect light, low light, or shade.
Water: Sansevieria thrive on neglect, having earned its nickname as the "unkillable" plant. However it's sensitive to overwatering, which can cause this plant to rot. Snake plants can survive being watered weekly, biweekly or sometimes even monthly.
Tip: NASA research has shown that Sansevieria purify and clean indoor areas by removing toxins such as formaldehyde and benzene. Since they produce oxygen mainly at night, Sansevieria make excellent bedroom companions.
