Otherwise known as the Herringbone Plant, its leaves are striped with bands of green and yellow. The bold foliage makes it perfect for any mantle, shelf, or window sill. Prayer Plants get their name from the way the leaves fold in the evening, resembling hands folding in prayer. You’ll notice the leaves folded in and more compact at night, while they open up with the sun each day.
Light: Bright indirect light, avoiding too much direct sunlight as it could fade the colors and burn the foliage.
Water: Like to be kept moist but not soggy.
Tip: As it matures, tiny lavender flowers appear on slender flower stalks, typically in summer.
